	Welcome to the Lviv region! Lviv oblast is one the oldest Galician lands. The name of the region is based on the main city - Lviv, founded by Prince Danylo for his son Leo. Lviv region located on the boundary between Roztochia and Podillia, and in the same time in the gates of Eastern and Western Europe was the bastion of Galician lands before Tatar raids as well as a great trade centre. Today Lviv region is one of the biggest cultural, spiritual and tourist centres of Ukraine. Lviv region – is fist of all the legendary city of Lviv with unique architecture ensemble and rich history, the ancient city-fortress Zhovkva with valuable architectural monuments, the old castles of “Golden Horse Shoe”, the marvellous landscapes with lakes of “Roztochchya” reserve, the Carpathian mountains with ski resorts, the well known recreation centres and resorts Truskavets, Morshyn, Skhidnytsia. Everyone will find something special, unforgettable and unusual on these lands!
