L’viv Tourist Board

L’viv Tourist Board (LTB) was founded in August 2000 as a non-profitable membership organisation with the support of the City Council and the UK Department for International Development. Our members are leading tourist businesses, hotels, insurance companies and other enterprises with an interest in development of tourism in the city.

Through the partnership between the public and private sectors, the LTB brings together the municipal authority of the L’viv City Council and the business interests of commercial enterprises. We manage and develop tourism activities and initiatives in the city, promote L’viv as a tourist destination both within Ukraine and abroad, and facilitate business contacts between tour operators from various markets and local tourist businesses.
The LTB mission is to develop and advance the economic and social impact of tourism in the best interests of the city and its members by working with private and public sector enterprises and organisations to establish a sustainable industry now and into the long-term future.

Major activities of the L’viv Tourist Board include:
• coordination of the marketing of L’viv as a tourist destination and enhancing the promotional activities undertaken by tourism businesses in the city by providing a solid promotional platform from which they can all work together for their mutual benefit;
• featuring L’viv as a travel and tourism destination in identified international markets and within Ukraine and therefore co-ordination and strengthening impact of the promotional activities of the Board’s members (at international and domestic travel fairs, through familiarisation visits, publications; etc.);
• ensuring the provision of high quality, good value facilities and excellent customer service and thus creating a high level of visitor satisfaction;
• efficient management of the tourism industry through partnership of public and private sectors, co-ordinating and undertaking promotional initiatives, both jointly with member enterprises and separately on their behalf, to increase tourist inflow to the city by 10% year per year or higher.
